Sticker asset authoring
Author safe, optically balanced sticker definitions with auditable provenance and accurate public imports.
Search terms: asset authoring, provenance, SVG safety, manifest, CC0, transparent bounds
The official pack is framework-neutral and React-free. Its manifest—not a manually maintained gallery—is the authority for IDs, tags, dimensions, transparent bounds, creator, source, license, attribution status, and checksum.
Use the shipped format honestly
The frozen v0.1 pack ships SVG files. StickerDefinition and React rendering
are format-agnostic for SVG, PNG, and WebP, but no raster asset export exists
until a cleared raster asset actually ships.
Meet the safe SVG contract
Use a stable kebab-case ID, preserve the viewBox, include transparent cut-line
padding, and avoid scripts, event handlers, external resources, foreignObject,
unsafe URLs, or embedded private marks. Official artwork already owns its paper
cut line and ink outline; do not add a second wrapper treatment by default.
Record provenance
Every contribution needs creator/source, license, attribution status, editable source, transparent bounds, and deterministic checksum. CC0 removes an attribution requirement; it does not remove the audit trail.
Know what cannot enter
Do not contribute Scout product logos, screenshots, product claims, third-party logos, copyrighted characters, or artwork without clear redistribution rights. Read the repository's asset contribution policy before opening a change.
Bring your own stickers
Consumers can pass image-like URLs or React content directly to the components. They do not need to publish a pack or adopt Scout UI artwork to use its bounded interaction behavior.
