Motion and reduced motion
Apply Scout UI motion as bounded feedback with coarse-pointer and reduced-motion fallbacks.

Motion in Scout UI communicates stick, lift, press, peel, settle, and shuffle. It is never required to understand content or complete an action.
Budget the viewport
Run no more than one loud effect in a viewport. A Trail hero and a draggable Stack may exist on the same page, but offscreen demos must settle or pause and adjacent reading sections should remain calm.
Honor the system request
reducedMotion="system" is the default. "always" lets an application choose
the static branch, but there is no option that ignores an operating-system
request for less motion.
Design touch deliberately
Coarse pointers do not receive a custom cursor. Trail is off by default and may use deliberate tap mode. Peel and Stack retain button/tap alternatives; touch is not simulated hover.
Know when to stop
Avoid Trail in reading or data-entry regions, Cursor across an application, and simultaneous ambient loops. Use borders, color, outline, and hard-shadow state for feedback when translation and rotation are removed.
